Managing Leave Availability

Set up and manage your team’s leave availability by navigating to /human-resources/leave/settings. Here, you can configure which dates are open or restricted for leave, apply rules for specific employees or teams, and define departmental limits to ensure adequate coverage throughout the year.

Blackout Dates

Define specific dates when employees cannot take leave.
Example: Blocking December 25th and January 1st to ensure business operations continue during holidays.

Employee Constraints

Prevent certain employees or groups from taking leave at the same time to avoid understaffing.
Example: Ensuring no more than two engineers in the same team are on leave simultaneously.

Department Daily Limits

Set the maximum number of leave requests allowed per day for each department.
Example: Limiting the marketing team to 3 leave requests per day to maintain coverage.

Custom Date Ranges

Apply special leave limits to individual departments for specific periods, such as peak seasons or project deadlines.
Example: Restricting leave during the month of November for the sales team during peak sales campaigns.
