Managing Boards
Boards help teams organize tasks visually, providing a clear overview of work in progress and what’s coming next.
Board Types
Monomize supports two types of boards: Fluid Boards and Rigid Boards, each suited to different workflows and team needs.
Fluid Boards
Fluid boards are flexible and easy to manage.
- Columns and cards can be dragged, dropped, and renamed freely.
- No approval process is required to complete tasks.
They are ideal for brainstorming, exploratory work, or dynamic projects where tasks change frequently.
Rigid Boards
Rigid boards enforce structure and process.
- Columns (To Do, In Progress, In Review, Completed) cannot be renamed or moved, and tasks cannot be dragged freely.
- Advancing tasks requires completing specific steps:
- To Do → In Progress: at least one member, one label, and one checklist with an item.
- In Progress → In Review: all checklist items must be completed.
- In Review → Completed: review and approval by an admin is required.
They are perfect for projects with clear workflows, approvals, or compliance requirements, providing visibility into process adherence and ensuring tasks are properly reviewed before completion.
